A man died after falling from a RV which struck a guardrail on Sunday morning on Interstate 75 Sumter County.

The 52-year-old Bradenton man, who has not been identified pending notification of next of kin, had been riding in a 1994 Ford RV driven by 31-year-old Joseph Rapoza, also of Bradenton, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

A man died after falling from this damaged RV on Interstate 75 in Sumter County.

The RV had been traveling southbound at about 8 a.m. near Mile Marker 325 when Rapoza lost control of the vehicle and it struck a guardrail. Part of the left side of the RV was damaged in the collision and the man, who had been riding as a passenger behind the driver, fell from the vehicle.

He was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he died of injuries suffered in the crash.

Rapoza escaped injury.
