Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to SW 140th Ave. in reference to a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival, deputies made contact with 38-year-old Emily Allard and asked her what happened. Allard stated that a man tried to take away her Winchester .22-caliber rifle, which she said she needed for protection from her estranged husband. She said that as she tried to get her rifle back, the man put her on the floor and attacked her. The man told deputies that Allard had been drinking earlier and that she threatened to “blow everybody’s head off.” He then told deputies Allard had pointed the rifle at him and that he was afraid for his life. He tried to take it away.

Allard grabbed the man’s wife by her arms and pushed her up against a glass door to the patio.

Allard was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail.
