Pair facing charges after brawl over stepmother outside Spanish Springs nightspot

Two men are facing charges after a St. Patrick’s Day brawl outside a  nightspot at Spanish Springs Town Square.

Lady Lake police had been called to Margarita Republic where two men were spotted outside on the ground fighting with a crowd assembled around them.

One of the men, 26-year-old Noah Michael Danley of Summerfield, took off running and was found hiding in the bushes at Publix at La Plaza Grande.

Daniel Sean Bacchus, 24, of Deland, told police that during an argument, Danley attempted to punch him but missed and hit Bacchus’ stepmother in the abdomen by mistake. That’s when the fight broke out.

Danley is facing charges of affray, possession of marijuana, battery and resisting arrest.

Bacchus is facing a charge of affray.

Both men were booked at the Lake County Jail.
