Amanda Fleenor

A woman was arrested after a dispute over unsolicited tree work at Water Oak.

A resident of the 55+ community on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake went May 19 to the Lady Lake Police Department to report that a trio from a tree company had come to his home demanding pay for work he never authorized.

The man said the tree company workers stopped by and gave him an unsolicited offer for tree work, written on the back of a business card, according to an arrest report. He told them he would “think about it.”

When the man left his home, the workers performed the work and then demanded $800.

A check revealed that 30-year-old Amanda Fleenor of Ocala, a member of the trio, was wanted on a Columbia County warrant charging her with non-support. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting a $250 cash purge.

The other two men left and were told not to return to the Water Oaker’s property.
