A Villager arrested after an alleged altercation over the volume of a television caught a legal break in the case.
Vivian R. Sahagian, 75, was arrested April 9 at her home on Astor Way in the Village of Sabal Chase.
The victim’s husband told deputies he was in the garage at the time and heard Sahagian and the victim arguing over the television volume, but he did not witness the incident, according to the arrest report.
The Sumter County Communications Center revealed Sahagian stated on a recorded emergency 911 phone line that she was in a verbal argument and that she slapped the victim in the head.
Sahagian was arrested on a charge of battery.
Last month in Sumter County Court, the prosecutor’s office announced it was abandoning the case due to “other legal issues.”
