A Villager who works at Margarita Republic in Spanish Springs Town Square was arrested Sunday night after a Marion County sheriff’s deputy watched her pass two cars on a blind curve, no-passing zone on SE Maricamp Road in Ocala.
Katlin Rae Dietz, 21, who was driving a silver Acura TSX, told the deputy “she was a in hurry to pick up her kids and did not realize it was a no-passing zone,” a report states.
A check of Dietz’s drivers license revealed that it was revoked for 60 months on April 5. The resident of 1321 Lester Drive in the Historic Side of The Villages also has been classified as a habitual traffic offender.
Dietz was taken into custody, transported to the Marion County Jail and charged with a traffic violation while driving with a suspended license (habitual offender). She was released early Monday morning on $2,000 bond.
