A Marion County deputy was called to an Ocala Wal-Mart Wednesday after a man stole several items.
A loss prevention officer at the store, located at 9570 SW Hwy. 200, told the deputy that she saw a man exit the store through the garden center without paying for $141.56 worth of merchandise. She said the 18 items taken were outdoor equipment (knives, camping gear and clothing).
The loss prevention officer said the man also gathered several other items in his shopping cart, but he left those behind when he left the store, a sheriff’s office report states.
