A former Lady Lake mayor reported the theft of a lawn mower from her home on the Historic Side of The Villages.
Henryka Presinzano, who served from 2001 to 2007 on the Lady Lake Commission, contacted law enforcement at 10:40 a.m. July 21 to report the theft of the Poulan Pro push lawn mower from her home in the 1400 block of West Schwartz Boulevard, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
The mower had been left in the carport of her home. The last time she saw the mower was at about 11 p.m. the previous night when she went out to walk her dogs, the report said.
The mower is valued at about $300.
Presinzano left her seat on the Lady Lake Commission in an unsuccessful bid to unseat Lake County Commissioner Welton Cadwell. She attempted a political comeback in 2013, but lost to incumbent Commissioner Jim Richards.
