An employee has reported the theft of money at Lady Lake Specialty Care.

The 22-year-old employee from Leesburg reported $360 in cash had been stolen from her while she was on duty Saturday at the care center at 630 Griffin Ave., according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

This facility has had a history of such incidents:

• In June, a 94-year-old resident reported the theft of her iPad.

• This past holiday season, a 37-year-old aide was arrested after she allegedly stole money with which she had been entrusted during a holiday shopping spree with residents. The felony case against Patience Lowery James is still pending in Lake County Court.

• Last year, an 83-year-old Villager reported money and credit cards were stolen from her purse while she was staying at Lady Lake Specialty Care.

• In 2015, a caregiver reported that $800 was stolen from her purse while she was looking after patients at Lady Lake Specialty Care.

Earlier this year, police were called to the facility after a crash involving motorized scooters and an attack on a roommate.
