Donald R. Brenneck, 81, passed away suddenly at home in The Villages, FL, on August 23, 2018. Don was born in Ossining, NY and lived in NY State for all of his life prior to relocating to The Villages 19 years ago. His previous residence of 28 years was in Mahopac, NY.
Prior to retirement, Don was a member of the carpenter’s union, and earned 50 year status during retirement. He continued to use his carpentry skills as an active member of The Villages Wood Shop. Don was an enthusiastic Mets and Jets fan. He was an avid golfer and former member of the Brew Crew golfing group.
He was a loving husband, caring father, and proud grandparent who will be missed and remembered fondly.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite, son Mark, stepson Richard Spath (wife Susan), grandchildren Richard and Miranda, sister Evelyn Bunselmeyer, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Roberta Davidson, and parents, Robert and Ebba Brenneck.
Donald will be directly cremated with no viewing or services.
A Celebration of Life is planned for the future in The Villages, and a gathering in New York at a later date.
