
Jacqueline Marquetta Staples, 87, passed from this life Saturday, September 22, 2018. Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ruby Lee (Walker) Staples.
Jacqueline was the former owner of Five Star Janitorial Service of LaPlace, LA. She also was an antique shop owner in New Orleans for several years.
Jackie came to The Villages from LaPlace, LA in 1990. She was a friendly person and found The Villages lifestyle very enjoyable. She was a greeter for Wal-Mart in Summerfield, FL.
Jackie was a great joke and storyteller all her life. She could keep people laughing. She also had a super talent for playing the spoons. She learned from her brother who was a national champion. Best of all she was known for her kindness and generosity helping many people, adults and children, with life’s problems. She will be one of the brightest stars in heaven. She was the only survivor of 5 girls and 2 boys.
She leaves her life partner, Judith A. Ishmael of Lady Lake, and Judith’s daughter, Sara Nault and her husband, Stephen and their daughter, Saraphina of Fruitland Park.
Services will be private and at the family’s convenience.
