Francis “Frank” Michael Mooney, age 81, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on January 20, 1937.
Frank served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Williston, FL.
He is survived by his son Daniel Mooney of Kingwood, TX; stepdaughters Deborah L. Leaf of Williston, FL and Dianne Walker of Ocala, FL; 6 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; and partner and friend of 17 years Barbara Cantwell of Summerfield, FL.
A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL 32159 on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon.
He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL beside his wife Margaret E. Mooney who passed away on May 5, 2001.
