
Charles J. “Chuck” Mallue, III of The Villages, FL, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018 at his home.
Chuck was devoted to his family, his church, his friends and was a lifelong learner, coach and mentor to others. He was a dedicated fan, through thick and thin, of his Buckeyes, Browns, Cavs and Indians. He and Linda lived in Warren and Dayton, Ohio along with Greensboro, North Carolina, and finally moved to Florida residing in Windermere before retiring at The Villages.
Chuck was an active member of the United Methodist Church for over 50 years and was active in leadership positions throughout. Chuck spent his entire career helping others and developing organizations, always putting others first. His final professional destination, The Walt Disney World Company, allowed Chuck to travel the world, spreading his wisdom everywhere he went. Chuck was active in countless charities throughout his career including leading the Greensboro United Way campaign. Chuck was a strongly faithful man and an active volunteer in the United Methodist Church. He was also in the mentor program at Wildwood Middle High School.
During his retirement, he was able to continue his active lifestyle including golf, exercise, volunteering and relaxing in the pool. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green and his MBA from Youngstown State.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda, his sister Barbara (Steve) of Frisco, TX, sister-in-law Jeannie of The Villages, FL, brother-in-law Mark (Margie) of Austintown, OH, his sons Charles, IV (Monica) of Dublin, OH, Jeffery of Springboro, OH and Scott (Francine) of Euless, TX, and five granddaughters, Charlotte, Margaret, Kemry, Alivia and Macy.
A celebration of Chuck’s life is being planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 27th at New Covenant United Methodist Church, 3470 Woodridge Drive, The Villages, FL 32162.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the WMHS (Wildwood Middle High School) Mentor Program through the New Covenant United Methodist Church or to your favorite charity.
