More than 500 Villagers, Stonecresters, Del Webbers, Sprucecreekers have been stiffed

To the Editor:

The Marion County Parks and Recreation golf cart path, between Aldi’s and Wal-Mart, east of U.S. Hwy. 441, was scheduled for paving by Advance Asphalt on Oct. 8. An advance deposit of 50 percent was provided. However, the work has never been done. All calls to Advance, gets dumped into their voicemail and never returned. The volunteers from Stonecrest that have been working on this path, since 2011, apologize for this massive inconvenience and are taking all legal paths available. Just maybe, a new honest contractor can be found prior to all of the snowbirds returning.
