A tip led to the recovery of a golf cart stolen earlier this year from Villages Golf Cars.
A manager at the Villages Golf Cars location at La Plaza Grande last week told Lady Lake police he had received a tip about the location of the 2017 Yamaha golf cart which had been stolen this past March. The tipster also provided photos, which confirmed it was the stolen golf cart.
The golf cart was recovered at 35935 Breeze Lane in Fruitland Park. A man at the property claimed he purchased the golf cart in July from someone driving a large pickup pulling an enclosed trailer which carried the golf cart.
The golf cart, which was confirmed by its vehicle identification number, was towed back to Villages Golf Cars by the American Golfcart Association.
