A Villager was arrested after allegedly displaying a gun during a dispute over a dog in the Village of Fenney.
Martin Lewis Levine, 57, was arrested Wednesday evening at his home at 5635 Whitetail Ave. on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He had been involved in a verbal altercation with another individual whose dog was running loose, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. During the argument, Levine raised his shirt, displaying a black handgun, the report said. He reportedly used profanity when he threatened to shoot the dog owner in the head.
It was witnessed by several people.
Levine admitted displaying the firearm during the dispute.
Levine’s black semi-automatic Smith & Wesson .380-caliber handgun was seized by police.
He was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $2,000 bond.
Levine purchased his home in the Village of Fenney in August 2017 for $228,000.
