Judy Y. Dowling, 77, The Villages, FL, formerly Memphis, TN, died Thursday, January 3, 2019. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ, Memphis and attended New Life Christian Church, Wildwood, FL, where she enjoyed singing in the choir,

She retired after 25 years from her passion of retail fashion sales in a department store.

Judy was a member of the Memphis Shelby, TN club and a former member of Way Way Way off Broadway Players, she enjoyed the beach and line dancing at the squares.

She is survived by her husband, John; daughters Stacy Patton Taylor, Kelly Patton Nanney (Lee), Leslie Owen Cain (Brian); son Joe Maxwell Owen III (Leigh Ann); stepsons David Dowling (Gail Mansfield), Douglas Dowling (Jeannine) and 10 grandchildren.

There will be a visitation at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at New Life Christian Church in Wildwood on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. 

The family requests memorial donations be made to New Life Christian Church, 4701 CR 462, Wildwood, FL 34785.

A reception in Judy’s honor for her Memphis friends will be Sunday, July 20, 2019 in Memphis.
