Fight breaks out at Spanish Springs nightspot after man snaps photos of women’s rear-ends

A fight broke out at a nightspot at Spanish Springs Town Square after a man reportedly snapped photos of women’s rear-ends.

The 52-year-old man from Peoria, Ill. had blood dripping from his face when law enforcement arrived on the scene in the early morning hours Saturday at Margarita Republic, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The man told a police officer he had been punched in the face.

He pointed to a 38-year-old Wildwood man and a 31-year-old Ocala man and said they had been involved in the altercation with him.

The men from Wildwood and Ocala claimed the Illinoisan had been taking photos of the rear-ends of their girlfriends, as well as other women at the bar. One of the women confronted the Illinoisan and he took a swing at her. That’s when fists starting flying.

Bystanders told police that they were not able to say who swung first and that “it happened very fast.”

The man from Illinois, who appeared to be intoxicated, declined to press charges. He left with his girlfriend in an Uber.
