David Lee, 55, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Gainesville, FL. David was born in Leesburg and was a life long resident of Leesburg.
He graduated from LHS in 1981 and UCF in 1986. David played baseball in high school and college. He taught high school English at Leesburg, Mt. Dora, Eustis, Apopka and was currently a Media Specialist at Eustis High School. He was a high school baseball coach for 34 years and won the Florida State Championship at Eustis High School in 2000. He loved music, played the guitar and enjoyed reading.
David is survived by his wife, Tina L. Lee, Leesburg; father, John H. Lee, Leesburg; daughter, Sarah Lee, Winter Garden; son, John Cisney (Sarah), Eustis; daughter, Felcia Fino, Pensacola; son Fernando Fino (Lena), San Diego, CA; brothers, Sam Rixie (Susan), Fruitland Park; LaVelle Rixie (Ellen), Mt. Dora; Donny Rixie (Cathy), Lady Lake; 2 grandchildren Mason & Maddox Fino and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Lee and brother, Dennis Rixie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 19, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Leesburg.
