A snowbird’s iPhone was stolen from a golf cart parked at a restaurant at Spanish Springs Town Square.
The 79-year-old Boonville, N.Y. man at about 6 p.m. Feb. 15 parked his golf cart in front of Demshar’s restaurant, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When he returned to his golf cart at about 11 p.m., he discovered that the iPhone 6 Plus and its black cover had been removed from a cup holder in the golf cart. He checked with restaurant staff but was told no one had turned in a phone.
On Tuesday, he reported the theft of his iPhone to police. An officer checked with Community Watch but was told a phone had not been turned into them.
