Vehicle with jellyfish painting splashed across hood stolen in Summerfield

Marion County sheriff’s deputies are on the lookout for a tan 1999 Mazda Protégé that was stolen in Summerfield over the weekend.

A woman who lives in the 3500 block of SE 130th Place in Belleview told deputies on Tuesday that her son’s car was taken between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday while it was parked in the 8800 block of SE 144th Lane in Summerfield. The vehicle has black front fenders, green emblems and a jellyfish painted on the hood. It is valued at approximately $2,000.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or has information about the theft should call Marion County Crime Stoppers at 352-368-7867.
