A 75-year-old Villager was jailed after a furniture-throwing intoxicated brawl at her home.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called at 7:15 p.m. Thursday to the home of Patricia Jane Schirmer on Oak Bend Place in the Village of Tall Trees, where she and another individual “cohabitate together,” according to an arrest report.

The victim told deputies that Schirmer threw a small wooden round end table and a footstool at him. He had suffered some abrasions and had some swelling on his forehead.

A witness said both of them were throwing things at each other, the report said.

“After speaking with all parties involved I could observe they were all intoxicated,” the deputy wrote in the report.

Schirmer had not suffered any injuries.

Schirmer was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was released after posting $2,000 bond.
