A realty office located just outside The Villages was targeted by thieves earlier this week.

Thieves made off recently with a $3,500 surveillance camera from the Foxfire Realty office in Summerfield, located at 16570 S Hwy. 441 near SE Hwy. 42.

The office manager for Foxfire Realty, located at 16570 S Hwy. 441 near SE Hwy. 42 in Summerfield, called a Marion County sheriff’s deputy on Tuesday after discovering that a surveillance camera was missing from the building.

The 63-year-old woman told the deputy that the camera was taken some time between March 3 and 10:45 a.m. this past Tuesday. She said the piece of equipment was valued at $3,500, a sheriff’s office report states.
