Did anyone really expect the Democrats to accept the Mueller Report if it contained no indictments of President Trump or his family? Of course not! By now it should be apparent even to the most loyal Democrat that the leadership of the Party has abandoned the world of reason and evidence. Facts simply don’t matter anymore. For two years, the Special Counsel has investigated the President in detail, utilizing the professional skills of Democratic lawyers who favored Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election and who wanted desperately to uncover incriminating evidence against Donald Trump. With regard to the main objective of the investigation, it was a failure. It produced no evidence of collusion between Trump and the Russians. Furthermore, it has cost the taxpayers of this country an estimated $25. The only positive result is this: The investigation has confirmed once again that our system of government is stable. Unlike Hillary Clinton, whose campaign was riddled with corruption from beginning to end (Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Donna Brazile etc.), Donald Trump was elected as 45th President in a fair process in accordance with the U.S. Constitution. The fact that our country is not embroiled today in corruption and collusion at the highest level should be an occasion of celebration. But the Democrats no longer care about the welfare of our country. So instead of being relieved by the outcome of the Mueller Report, they are incensed and they refuse to accept it.

Take a look at the reactions of the Democrats and the anti-Trump mainstream media.

NYT: “Mr. Mueller’s report may never go public, but we don’t need a peek at the recommendations he delivered on Friday to Attorney General William Barr to credibly assess that something unethical and likely illegal went on in 2016.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler still maintains that members of the Trump team colluded with Russia during the 2016 election: “We know there was collusion. Why there’s been no indictments, we don’t know.”

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff reiterated that there was “significant evidence of collusion.”

Rep. John Lewis, commenting on the possible impeachment of the President, said: “I think that day will come.”

Don Lemon: “Quite frankly, it raises a lot of new questions as we move forward … Why did Robert Mueller not come to a conclusion on obstruction?”

Rachel Maddow: The Mueller reports signals “the start of something, not the end of something.”.

Chris Matthews: “Why was there never an interrogation of Trump? Why did Mueller let him off the hook?”

Of course, no one can outdo the Hollywood “glowworms” when it comes to nonsense. So we have this gem from Bill Maher: “I don’t need the Mueller report to know he’s a traitor. I have a TV.” Just consider what this means. In Maher’s mind, the trivia propagated daily on TV is more reliable than the evidence presented by the Special Counsel. Is this intended to be comical? Or is it simply the outburst of a mind weakened by the glitter and glamour of stardom?

Can none of these people be thankful that our electoral process was not seriously compromised during the 2016 election? When I read these comments, I wonder what has happened to the once respectable Democratic Party. Are the Democrats no longer capable of distinguishing between facts and emotion? When I write articles for the Villages-News, I always gather information on my topic and present facts. But as a rule, my critics do not discuss the facts; instead they attack me personally. How long do the Democrats think that they can continue this nonsense? If they are no longer capable or no longer willing to distinguish between evidence and emotion, how can they expect the public to entrust them with the leadership of the entire country?

Consider the case of a man who has occasional chest pain caused by indigestion. Let’s say that this man undergoes extensive testing by a team of cardiologists, all of whom assure him that his heart is intact. But plagued by anxiety, the man remains convinced that he needs heart surgery. How do you think the cardiologists would react? They might well send him to a psychiatrist for therapy. Unfortunately there is no known therapy for a political party obsessed with hate. I find that regrettable because I once respected the Democratic Party and I would truly like to see it come to life again.
