To the Editor:
The time is approaching when we will consider raising amenity fees.
This brings us to the time when Community Watch costs need to be evaluated and reduced.
Does Community Watch need to drive Ford-150’s and Jeeps?
Would electric cars, golf cars and hybrid vehicles be more cost effective? Would smaller electric vehicles be more environmentally friendly? Can we reduce the number of employees by reducing the cycle of repeating routes? These and other cost savings should be evaluated and implemented to reduce operating costs. The cost of Community Watch is over $10 per month per home. A reduction of this number would provide income that could be diverted for other uses and defer increases in amenity fees.
