Leesburg police asking for help in nabbing woman connected to vehicle burglaries

The Leesburg Police Department is asking for help in apprehending a woman they believe has been involved in a rash of vehicle burglaries.

Leesburg Police officers say this woman attempted to cash fraudulent checks that were stolen from a vehicle in Lady Lake. And they believe she is connected to other vehicle burglaries in the Central Florida area.

The woman, shown in the photo above, attempted to fraudulently cash checks in Leesburg that were stolen out of a vehicle in Lady Lake, police say. And they believe she is linked to other vehicle burglaries in Leesburg, Clermont and Maitland.

Anyone who knows the woman shown above or has information about the vehicle burglaries that have taken place throughout Central Florida is being asked to call detectives at the Leesburg Police Department at (352) 728-9862 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
