Why can’t my adult daughters swim laps at the Eisenhower pool?

To the Editor:

I had assumed, falsely, that when you secure guest passes for your family members or friends visiting on a short-term basis, their passes function much like Villages ID card. In other words, they are allowed to enter facilities and partake in activities just like any other Villager. Apparently this is not so regarding the swimming of laps during posted lap swim times at regional recreation centers.
For some reason, my adult daughters can go to Eisenhower and use the pool, play water volleyball, tennis, and pickleball or use the inside card rooms, but if they wish to get up at 6:30 and work out swimming laps, they are shown the door.  This makes no sense to me particularly when the pool is frequently empty during these times.
Has anyone else experienced this frustration?  Does anyone know the proper procedure for addressing and hopefully amending this policy?
