To the Editor:

Some nice news about a good person! I was stopped at the light at County Road 466A and Morse Boulevard going south yesterday and noticed a HUGE turtle stepping down onto County Road 466A to cross the street. There was a Village maintenance truck next to me and I rolled down my window to ask if he could somehow stop the turtle so he wouldn’t get crushed or cause an accident. He pulled in front of me with his lights flashing and blocked traffic and got out with a huge shovel and placed the turtle back up on the grass! Hopefully the turtle decided to go back to the golf course and not try to get back on the street! Thank you for stopping and helping out!
