Village of St. Charles resident celebrates after nailing her first hole-in-one

A longtime Villager had plenty of reason to celebrate this week after nailing her first-ever hole-in-one.

Villager Zellie Werblin is all smiles after getting her first hole-in-one on Thursday, May 9.

Zellie Werblin, of the Village of St. Charles, has lived in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown for 10 years – seven as a full-time Villager. She loves to play golf and was having a great time on the El Diablo Executive Golf Course this past Thursday when she hit her ball on the 72-yard fourth hole and then couldn’t find it.

“I was using my driver – yes, even for a short hole,” she said. “A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. And it was very exciting looking for my ‘lost’ ball and finding it in the cup!”
