Man cashing bad checks across the state hits Wildwood bank for $4,271

The Wildwood Police Department is searching for a man who cashed a fraudulent check at a local bank branch recently.

Wildwood Police are searching for the man pictured above, who they say cashed a fraudulent check for $4,271 on March 21 at the SunTrust Bank on Main Street.

Police say the man pictured above has been cashing fraudulent checks across the Sunshine State. And they say he targeted Wildwood on March 21 when he cashed a bad check for $4,271 at the SunTrust Bank branch, located at 406 S. Main St.

Anyone who knows the identity of the man, anything about the crime or has faced a similar incident with him is asked to contact Officer Hutchins at (352) 661-5607 or at JHutchins@wildwood-fl.gov. Those wishing to make an anonymous tip can call Crime Line at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
