Marion Jean Richardson

Marion Richardson

Marion Jean Richardson, nee: Thomas, passed away May 18, 2019, surrounded by her family at the end of life, as she was throughout her life.

Born July 3, 1927 in Spring Green, Wisconsin, Marion attended nurses training in Madison, while future husband Sherdy studied at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. They married in Spring Green on June 3, 1950.

The eldest of their three children, Sandy, was born in Madison, before a move to Milwaukee where Jeannie, and Eddie were born. They lived briefly in Waukegan, Illinois, before settling in Lake Bluff for more than 40 years, followed by a relaxing retirement in The Villages, Florida.

Marion was the cherished wife of Sherwood, and loving mother to Sandy (Robert) Burnett, Jean Richardson, and Ed (Cheri) Richardson. She loved every minute spent with her grandchildren, Joshua Hayes (Kelly McCarthy), Heather Richardson, Ryan (Rachel) Richardson, and Anna (Adam) Millington. She was such a good Grandma that she was promoted to Great Grandma of Spencer and Myles Hayes, and Keller Richardson.

She will forever be loved and missed by her family and the many who were lucky enough to be called her friends.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel in Lady Lake, Florida on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 2 p.m.
