To the Editor:
The gentleman that wrote about the Palmetto golf course conditions has not played the Historic Silver Lake course.
This course has been left to revert to the conditions when the Native Americans roamed the area. The tees, fairways and greens are loaded with excrement from the wild animals that roam the areas, it’s really fun when your ball rolls through the piles.
I thought sure we would see buffalo roaming when we turned the corner after the third hole heading for the fourth hole. The weeds have been left to grow to provide food for the animals in the area. We hear about the possibility of increasing the amenity fees while having to endure these kind of conditions.
I am sure Mr. Schwartz would be happy about what is happening on the Historic Side of The Villages that he founded.
