Leesburg motorcyclist killed in crash on County Road 44

A Leesburg motorcyclist was killed Friday night in a crash on County Road 44.

Anna Stebbins, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred shortly after 11 p.m. near Silver Lake Road, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

The crash occurred when Stebbins’ Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the roadway and collided with a barbed wire fence. She was ejected from the motorcycle.

The crash remains under investigation and it hasn’t been determined if alcohol was a factor, the FHP report says.
