An 18-year-old who graduated last month from The Villages Charter School will be laid to rest on Thursday.
Joseph Anthony Machado, who starred on the Buffalo football team, died at the scene of a single-vehicle accident Friday night on County Road 48 in Lake County. He graduated May 25 from VHS.
There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6 at St. Paul’s. Interment will be at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis, following the Mass. Read his complete obituary.
