Bandits hit semi-trucks at Summerfield landscaping business

The owner of a Summerfield landscaping business called the Marion County Sheriff’s Office for help Wednesday after realizing he’d been the victim of a theft.

The owner of Russo Dirt Cheap reported that batteries were stolen from two semi-trucks at his business, located at 13265 S U.S. Hwy. 27/441. He said the items were taken some time between Friday, June 7 at 2 p.m. and Wednesday morning when they attempted to use the trucks, the report says.

The owner said the batteries were worth $500 each. He was provided with a case number and asked to call the sheriff’s office if he received any further information about the theft.
