To the Editor:
I think you are all going off the deep end. We want a restaurant, not a covered pool, not a casino, not another rec center or theater like you did to Tierra Del Sol, just a restaurant.
If you look in the weekly Recreation News we have AA for everything but no GA yet. Oh, I forgot we don’t list all the AA meetings any more, bad for business.
We do not want it nor do we want out-of-Village people drinking and gambling in our neighborhoods. I think The Villages management wants to open The Village to any one and every one. We won’t need a gated community at that point. Save a lot of money that way and spend it in the south. That’s what its all about.
Build your covered pool in Brownwood or Fenney or preferably not at all.
I am all in favor of a charge for those visiting The Villages. My suggestion would be a $5 charge when you request a visitors guest ID. This would be good for one week, at which time you would need to request another one. Again a $5 charge for a week per guest. I think that is a pretty good deal. And it would impact me several times a year.
Still looking for a count of residents from Route 42 down to Fenney. Total count and how many are under 55 and how many are under 45.
Regretfully, The Villages world north of 466 is yesterday’s news to those in charge.
