Many adult children in The Villages are caring for their older parents – something few people plan for.
Elderly parents are more likely to have chronic illnesses and related disabilities. At the same time, older caregivers may have health problems themselves.
They may have retirement dreams that include traveling and fun activities that are now put on hold. The caregiver role comes with challenges, but you are not alone. Transition Life Consultant Services helps navigate the path of caregiving and finding support and solutions along the way.
A pair of programs will be conducted by Diane Vasaturo, licensed clinical social worker and Ellen Rainbolt, marriage and family therapist.
The programs will be at:
Wednesday, July 10
1 to 3 p.m. at American House
7676 Rio Grande Blvd., Wildwood, near corner of 466A and Powell Road
