A mother refused to pick up her drunk son who was found sleeping on the sidewalk in Lady Lake.
Justin Ross, 33, who lives at 3761 Picciola Road, was found at 1 a.m. Saturday sleeping on the sidewalk along U.S. Hwy. 27/441, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Beside him was a tall can of beer labeled Hurricane.
An officer tried to wake Ross but it took “several attempts.” Ross said he was drunk and had no where to go.
He said “he doesn’t get along with his parents and was planning on sleeping in the street,” the officer wrote in the report.
The officer called his mother, but she said she would “not pick him up.”
Ross was arrested on a charge of disorderly intoxication and booked at the Lake County Jail on $500 bond.
