The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for the fall session of its Citizens Academy and is encouraging residents to take advantage of the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their sheriff’s office.
Spots are available for the session, which begins Sept. 4 and runs through Nov. 8. The sessions will last from 1-3:30 p.m. and will be held at the Colony Cottage Recreation Center at 510 Colony Blvd. in The Villages.
