Unacceptable to make a veteran wait for lifesaving medication

Congressman Daniel Webster

A veteran from The Villages was experiencing issues obtaining the insulin medication NovoLog since May.

He was nearly out of the medication and had been told by the VA that the refill was either processing, or that there was no record of it at all. Our office contacted the VA and learned that they would overnight the medication to the veteran.

We also followed-up with VA to let them know it is unacceptable to make a veteran wait for lifesaving medication and that it should not take Congressional involvement to fulfill this basic level of care.

Constituent services is a critical element of our Congressional office. The federal government is a massive operation, and my office is available if you ever need assistance in navigating the bureaucracy or cutting through red tape. We are here to serve you.

Congressman Daniel Webster represents The Villages in the U.S. House of Representatives.
