Community Development District 1 has delayed the selection of a new supervisor due to the absence of one of the candidates.
Three of the four candidates appeared Friday morning before the CDD 1 board. One of the candidates, William Jenness, was not at the meeting because he has been traveling.
Jenness has served for nine years as CDD 1’s representative on the Architectural Review Committee.
“He’s been a really good volunteer for nine years,” said CDD 1 Supervisor Paul Sykes.
Supervisor Craig Estep moved that the selection of a new supervisor be delayed until August when the board would have the opportunity to hear from Jenness.
The other three candidates are Zane Akins, Stephen Gerwin and Tom Papin.
The vacancy was created by the recent resignation of Charles Amante.
