Pair arrested after traffic stop of pickup without registration or insurance

A couple was arrested after a traffic stop of a pickup without proper registration or insurance.

The white Ford pickup was traveling at 7:08 a.m. Thursday in the vicinity of U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Griffin Avenue in Lady Lake, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The pickup did not have a tag attached.

The driver was identified as 31-year-old William Alan Labree, of Umatilla. He claimed he had just purchased the truck and was on his way to register it. He did not have any paperwork to back up his claim.

A woman in the vehicle was identified as 26-year-old Morgan Watson, of Fruitland Park. She was arrested for being in possession of a blue cut straw and a glass pipe, both with the residue of methamphetamine.

Both were taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail.
