A Lady Lake man who owns a Summerfield golf cart business realized Sunday that he was the victim of a theft.
The 72-year-old, who owns Quality Golf Cart Enclosures, called a Marion County sheriff’s deputy Sunday afternoon after realizing a trailer had been stolen from his business, located at 15289 S U.S. Hwy. 441, a sheriff’s office report states.
The man told the deputy that a neighbor across the street had seen someone taking the trailer from in front of his business on Sunday around 5 p.m. The deputy requested the trailer, tag and decal being entered into the sheriff’s office computer system as stolen. And a bulletin was issued a short time later to alert other law enforcement officers of the crime, the report states.
