Members of Villagers for Trump are gearing up to show their support for the president on Friday.

The group, which boasts more than 1,000 members and seems to have become the leading choice among Villages Republicans, will hold a flag-waving Friday morning in Wildwood. The event, which will last from 9-10 a.m., will be at the intersection of State Road 44 and U.S. Hwy. 301, just outside The Villages. Those attending are encouraged to park at the CVS drug store or in the old Winn-Dixie store parking lot behind the Shell gas station at the busy intersection.
Villagers for Trump has plenty of signs for participants to hold but attendees are welcome to bring their own. For those making their own signs, the group suggests using four-inch letters, which are easy for passing motorists to read. The signs should reflect current issues or make a statement about where one stands. And those attending should bring chairs for comfort.

Villagers for Trump hopes to get enough participants to cover all four corners of the intersection, much like it did recently in The Villages. At that flag-waving event, which was held June 14 at the corner of Morse Boulevard and County Road 466, a large contingent of members blanketed all sides of the intersection as they celebrated Flag Day and President Trump’s birthday.
The majority of motorists driving by gave them the thumbs up, with some even yelling words of support. And others zipped by with their passengers recording the event on their cell phones.
