The Amenity Authority Committee will hold a public workshop meeting regarding the new First Responders Recreation Center to be located in the former First Baptist Church in Community Development District 4.
This meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 24 at Savannah Center.
A resident survey that was conducted in January/February garnered about 2,800 responses. Since then, District staff has done an in-depth analysis of the survey data; and then did preliminary planning for certain amenity elements, with consideration given to the facilities, availability of indoor and outdoor space, opportunities for new unique recreation amenities, financial constraints, and sustainability of maintenance long-term in order to develop a proposed plan, which will be presented at the workshop.
“The Amenity Authority Committee members are residents who represent you. We hope to see you at this very important meeting. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to also attend,” said AAC member Don Deakin, who also serves as a supervisor in CDD 4.
