A truck driver was ticketed after his semi jackknifed on the Florida Turnpike at Wildwood.
Lakhbir Singh, 40, of Fresno, Calif., had been driving the semi northbound in rainy weather at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday near Mile Marker 304 when the truck drifted off the roadway, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Singh overcorrected and lost control of the rig, which began to fishtail. The truck struck a guardrail and jackknifed. Approximately 50 feet of guardrail was damaged.
Singh and a passenger, 45-year-old Satwinder Singh, also of Fresno, Calif., escaped injury in the crash.
Singh was ticketed on a charge of failure to drive in a single lane.
