Multiple Lake County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Golden Isles neighborhood in the unincorporated area of Mount Dora after receiving calls of three men wearing hoodies running through the neighborhood and breaking into vehicles.

When deputies arrived, they located the three men – 20-year-old Airen Germain Darnell Freeman, of Lady Lake; 18-year-old Kemyus Jajuan Manuel, of Leesburg; and 19-year-old Tyler Marquess Simpson, of Mount Dora – in a vehicle near the entrance to the neighborhood. Deputies reported seeing items in the vehicle that appeared to be stolen, a sheriff’s office report states.

All three were taken into custody and transported to the Lake County Jail, where they were charged with multiple counts of auto burglaries, thefts and trespassing. They each have court hearings in August to answer to the charges, jail records show.
