Villager scores silver medal in Maryland Senior Olympics

A Villages athlete recently made quite a showing in the Maryland Senior Olympics.

Earl Hearst, of the Village of Amelia, teamed with Jan Skaggs to win silver medals in the mixed doubles table tennis competition. The event was held July 27 at the Potomac Community Center in Potomac, Md.

The Maryland Senior Olympics is held throughout the year at various venues in the state. It features 26 sports with a variety of competitions included in each one.
