A Lady Lake man was arrested after he was spotted at a construction site in a high-end gated-community.
A resident living in the 5600 block of Strong Point in rural Lady Lake called 911 after a doorbell rang at 2:36 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy responded to the scene, but was unable to locate anyone.
The homeowner summoned law enforcement a second time at 3:58 a.m. after spotting a man walking on the west side of the residence. The man then walked to a nearby construction site.
A deputy jumped the residential gate at the Saddle Ridge community and found 34-year-old Bryan Keith Stein, curled up and lying on his left side. When Stein was approached by deputies, he began to flee.

After he was apprehended, Stein admitted he rang the homeowner’s doorbell and claimed he was “lost.”
He was arrested on charges of loitering and trespassing at a posted construction site.
Stein had been arrested last year after stealing a wallet and cell phone from a man’s locker at Too Your Health Spa in Lady Lake.
In 2014, Stein was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal merchandise, including a Barbie doll from Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages. A year later, he returned to the same store and attempted to shoplift sandals and clothing.
