Carol Collins

Carol Diane Collins, 64, of Wildwood, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019.

Ms. Collins was born June 2, 1955 in Duluth, GA, to Curtis Lee Gibbs and Violet Exie Pike Watkins. She grew up in the Sand Mountain region of Alabama before moving to Ft. Pierce, Florida. Carol moved to Wildwood with her husband and son in 1988 from Ft. Pierce. She was a devout Christian, being brought up in the Church of God. Carol was a singer/songwriter, playing five musical instruments and composing 500 songs and poems. She worked as a housekeeper in The Villages for the last 10 years. She was a beloved mother and friend of her son.

Survivors include her only child, Ryan Traynor of Wildwood; siblings, Wendall C.F. Gibbs & Audrey Gibbs of Oneonta, AL, Loretta Gibbs Smith of Boaz, AL, Sam Gibbs & Doris Gibbs of Eastpoint, FL, Patty Gibbs Camp & Johnny Camp of Geraldine, AL, Terry Gibbs & Patricia Gibbs of Grey Court, SC, and Angela Gibbs Crandall of Panama City, FL.

Let them keep the fence!
